A Happy Day in the Forest
Emre woke up early that morning. The sunlight coming through the curtains was illuminating his room. But what woke him up was not the sun… it was the excitement inside him.
Today was a very special day. Because he would go to the forest with his family.
He immediately got out of bed and ran to the kitchen.
“Mom! We’re going today, right?” he asked breathlessly.
His mother smiled and nodded her head.
“Of course we are. But first, a nice breakfast.”
His father was also preparing the bags. He packed sandwiches, fruits, water bottles, and a small blanket inside.
Emre prepared his own bag as well. He put his favorite notebook, colored pencils, and a small magnifying glass inside.
“I will discover everything today,” he said determinedly.
After breakfast, they set off. As the car moved forward, the city was left behind, making way for trees and greenery. Emre's eyes sparkled as he looked out the window.
Finally, they arrived at the forest.
As soon as Emre got out of the car, he looked around. The trees were so tall that they seemed to touch the sky. Birds were chirping, and the wind was gently rustling the leaves. The earth was giving off a beautiful scent.
Emre took a deep breath.
“This place is amazing!” he said.
His father smiled.
“Nature is always beautiful, as long as we look carefully.”
They started walking. Emre collected pine cones from the ground and looked at stones of different shapes. He used his magnifying glass to examine some leaves.
“Mom, look! This leaf is different from the others,” he said.
His mother bent down to look.
“Yes, because it fell from a different tree.”
Emre was curious about everything; he wanted to learn everything.
After a while, they reached a small stream. Water was flowing gently between the stones. Sunlight was sparkling on the surface of the water.
